Full Members
These Full Member schools have successfully completed the Alliance full self-study and peer review membership process. The Alliance Board of directors, with a recommendation from the site visit team and the membership review committee, have determined that these schools fall within the membership category of Full Member. A Full Member school is eligible for use of the term “Public Waldorf” as part of the school’s name or in their tag line.
To be approved for Full Member status, the most recent self-study, and peer-review and meet the following criteria:
School practices reflect substantial implementation of the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education and will clearly articulate challenges and innovations in meeting each Core Principle.
Meets the “consistently evident” rating for at least 80% of the Characteristics of High Performing Public Waldorf Schools.
Have no significant uncorrected findings from the most recent audit.
Exhibit the commitment to collaboration in the work of the Alliance through the activities of faculty or staff members.
Have completed the Policies and Procedures Self-Assessment and be in a category considered “met” by their authorizing body.
Be in “good standing” or the equivalent with the authorizing body.
A Full Member school continues with the cycle of self-study and peer review as it evolves into the future, assuring that it is continually renewed and adopting best practices.
If a Full Member School is found to be in non-compliance with any of the Core Principles, it is informed of this and allowed one year to describe an acceptable level of progress towards compliance and two years to come back into full compliance. Failure to achieve compliance in this time will require movement back to developing status and revocation of the right to use the service mark, if applicable.
