Rubina Martini

Creative Director, Central Wisconsin

Rubina Martini (she/they) is a feminist creative director, educator, and business owner. Rubina facilitates a youth arts program using a feminist pedagogical framework, runs a rural hospitality/artist residency driven to create access for marginalized communities to experience an America often left inaccessible by cultural divide, and collaboratively owns a low waste store. They grow food for their family and are raising a gender creative child in Central Wisconsin.
Rubina has studied gender & women studies, non-bias education practices, and Waldorf philosophies throughout the last fifteen years. They have a background in handwork, homesteading and healing through arts. Their personal work uses writing, fiber crafts and performance to explore sexual trauma, mental illness, Native American identity and growing up part of the welfare system. Rubina is passionate about placemaking, accessibility and allyship in rural America.
